Illinois Partners’ new report, “The Economic Impact of the Human Services Sector in McLean County,” shows that the human services sector is the county’s 5th largest employer and is a net contributor to the county’s GDP.

It also demonstrates that for every dollar of funding received, the sector returned a total of $2.23 in economic impact to McLean County in Fiscal Year 2020.

55 nonprofit organizations that operate in McLean County completed a survey (75% response rate) and the economic impact was then calculated for the report by Bloomington-Normal Economic Development Council (BN-EDC).
