This month, Adela Carlin, our Director of Grassroots Partnerships, traveled to Springfield and joined the Healthy Illinois campaign to advocate for healthcare coverage for all.

Many of our coalition partners are also members of the campaign, including: Access Living, Arab American Family Services, Enlace Chicago, Erie Family Health, Erie Neighborhood House, HANA Center, Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights, Illinois Unidos, Mano a Mano, Mujeres Latinas en Accion, RUSH University Medical Center, Shriver Center on Poverty Law, Sinai Chicago, Southwest Organizing Project, The Resurrection Project, United African Organization and more.
This year, members of Healthy Illinois are pushing for an expansion of healthcare coverage for immigrants ages 19-41, so that all low-income Illinoisans are eligible for accessible, comprehensive health care coverage. Closing this healthcare coverage gap is key to achieving health equity in our state.
