Karen shares her personal journey and discusses ongoing disability advocacy and activism efforts led by people with disabilities. The 40 minute podcast features an intro to CILs and their advocacy and Karen’s personal story on navigating your day in a wheelchair. Topics covered include discussions on neurodiversity and care infrastructure. Topics include how care work needs to be seen as career; the presumption of “lesser quality of life” and its effect; and sub-minimum wage.
